Air washer (Odor System)
A chemical scrubber is an effective way to deal with odor problems caused by volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Its volume is usually suitable for treating 6-8 times the volume of air inside a building or other enclosed space, and repeating this 6-8 times per hour.
- Unwanted odors from rendering processes are mainly caused by protein decomposition of raw materials producing gases such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as amines, mercaptans, aldehydes, ketones, organic sulfides, etc. This results in complex mixtures of odorous effluents at low concentrations.
- This system uses water and reagents to adsorb acidic and basic molecules (e.g.: H2S and NH3) and to cause chemical oxidation of other organic molecules. Detector assemblies and equipment configurations are always custom designed, to handle the air flow rates and gas installations of your particular operations.
- These systems are available as single or multi-stage setups, with towers made of corrosion resistance. You can also choose between automatic and manual chemical control and monitoring
- The entire system is made of stainless steel
